Grizzles vs. Suns thoughts

Watching some of the Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies game. The announcers keep talking about the Suns starting to look better together. That’s not a judgment that can be made against a team like the Grizzlies, who are playing out the string and, along with Minnesota, are one of the definitively worst teams in the Western Conference. Everyone looks good against the Grizzles.
Having watched the development of Darko Milicic from afar, it’s still clear that he has some skills. This is the final chance he’ll get to prove he’s a star player. He’s on a team that doesn’t put any pressure on the team to win and they’re a team full of young players that are all getting a chance to develop. When the Grizzlies traded Gasol to the Lakers, that opened the floor for Darko. He has good moves. One play in the third quarter, he breezed by Amare Stoudamire with a drop step, but blew the wide open layup. That’s the problem with Milicic. He wows you and brings you back to reality with what my old high school coach used to call a “Million dollar move and a two-cent shot.” It’s 72-41 at halftime.
